Located at the intersection between philosophy of mind and phenomenology, this project aims at investigating the nature of cognitive states (thinking, judging, assuming, wondering, and the like). The leading hypothesis is that the rich phenomenological literature coming from the school of the Austro-German philosopher Franz Brentano offers first-rate materials in order to describe, analyse and taxonomize the cognitive phenomena.
